

The Jefferson Institute announces a competition for a purchase prize award in support of art expressions of young artists worldwide under the name:
LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
These three aspects are cited among the "inalienable rights" of man.
They are the most fundamental set of human rights, natural, not-granted nor conditional.
Details on how to participate in the competition
The Jefferson Institute announces a competition for a purchase prize award in support of art expressions of young artists worldwide under the name: LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. These three aspects are cited among the "inalienable rights" of man. They are the most fundamental set of human rights, natural, not-granted nor conditional.
Eligibility classifications Art professionals e.g. anyone who has earned an art degree in any area of art from a college, university or accredited art school; anyone who earns at least half of their yearly income from art work; anyone who teaches art classes for reimbursement; or anyone attending graduate school in art. Eligibility is limited to pre-registered artists. The electronic registration form is available here. No work will be admitted without this completed registration. Art expressions can be submitted in the following categories:
1. Oil
2. Charcoal/Graphite/Ink
3. Pastel/Chalk/Colored Pencil
4. Watercolor/Gouache/ Acrylic
5. Sculpture (limited to clay, metal and wood media)
6. Artist’s Choice- 3D, Print, Mixed Media or simila
All art must be recent work of the artist, never before shown on any professional show. Work must be original.
Purchase prize awards To be eligible for a purchase prize award, the artist must have his/her price listed. If the art is not for sale, you should indicate this on the registration form.
Judging Judging will be performed by qualified professionals familiar with each eligible category. The selection will be closed every month by the 25th. The selected artists will be informed by the end of month.
